RE: Have generator prep. should I go built in or portable

I have 2 hondas on a slide out tray in the front storage area that works fine for me. The only time I need to take them down is to put gas in them. Nice as it is, if I had to do it over again I would have the built in unit. My brother has the built in and I hate when he pushes a button and his generator is running. Oh well, maybe next time.

RE: Question about rear kitchens:-)

Our rear kitchen has worked well for us. We camp at a lake most of the time and the big side windows gives us a great view.

RE: Cougar electric landing gear dead

My brother had a similiar problem with his Cougar and it was the ground wire. Fixed that up and the landing gear works perfect. I hope you guys get it figured out.

RE: Cracking Wheel Flares

Mine are cracking as well on my Cougar. I am afraid to ask the dealer how much it is to replace them.

RE: Living in a Cul de sac

i ask my neighbors if they mind moving their car temporarily. I tell them I'm not very good a backing up and am afraid i may hit their car. They usually say "no problem," I would have done just that but the problem is they were at the lake we just left so that was not an option.

Living in a Cul de sac

I have to do a turn around in my cul de sac which most times is not a problem. However this weekend there were a couple of cars parked on the street so I really had to make a tight turn. The tires on the rv were really dragging. Causing a lot of flex. Can these axels handle this on a regular basis? Tires? I noticed that the tires are getting scuffed up a bit but I really do not have any other choices other than backing all the way down my street. I guess I will keep an eye on the tires and see what happens.

RE: Transmission Temp

Does anyone know if the Scangauge II will work with the diesels? I heard they won't. Any other suggestions for diesels?

RE: Are you camping Memorial Day Weekend and where?

Normally we do not go out on the holiday weekends but we visited some friends last year at a campground called Little Bear. We now have reservations for the next few years there. We usually do not stay at campgrounds. We like to rough it so to speak.

RE: Duct tape residue?? Cleaning it off.

While removing sticker residue on my boat I used brake cleaner. It worked better than Goo Gone or what ever that stuff is by a long shot.

RE: 2 honda 2000 running in front compartment

why bother with 12v fans, if the gennys are running why not a 120v fan? I already have the 12V fans and the genny's have a convenient 12V power source that I am not using anyway.

RE: 2 honda 2000 running in front compartment

I have my 2 hondas in the front compartment on a slide tray. I have not run them with the door completly closed but with it hanging open. I have seen no issues doing this so far as the storage compartment does seem to be sealed from the coach. I was thinking of adding to 12 volt 4.25" fans to remove heat and exhaust and run them with the door closed. I haven't got that far yet.

RE: Kitchen table

Thanks everyone for the options and opinions. This sounds better than the quote I got from the dealer. I should have thought of this myself.

Kitchen table

Does anyone know of a good website to look at for a free standing table set? I have the booth in my 5er and we were thinking of changing to a free standing unit. Any thoughts? My search did not come up with much and the dealer wants a pretty penny to change it out.
